The previous records management solution that was used was outdated and expensive to maintain. SharePoint was the recommended solution to provide the advanced functionality that was required.
This solution was to build 3 custom website applications using SharePoint as the development platform. There were many advanced features that were developed for this solution. Some of the key features required were the following:
Develop a publicly available website that shows only the most current versions of the policy and procedures
Provide a records management site to maintain all previous record versions of all policy and procedures
Develop an Intranet / Extranet to support the drafting and collaboration of policies and procedures
